We’re all connected

I’ve written a few times about mycelium – mushrooms that connect to their ecosystem through the soil to sustain each other. These fairy rings have a scientific rationale but I love the symbolism, too. The Aspen in Utah is another singular organism that supports its clones – all 47K of them! I can’t imagine how much better off we’d be if every human on the planet recognized we are connected to our ecosystem and to each other in a similar way.
