Stages
One of the fun things about walking regularly is seeing the various stages of growth in the gardens around the neighborhood. This series feels almost like a time lapse!
Favorites
I know I shouldn't have favorites, but these soft white daffodils are so lovely! And not edible for small mammals. The purple tulip is one of the few that survived the squirrel fest, and I love the contrast with the white and yellow. Perfection!
The passage of time

When we moved into our new house, there was no planting at… Continue reading Tantalizing signs!
Snow, sleet, and Spring?!
The weather has been so strange around here. Last weekend it was 80F (glorious!), then 50 F, and finally snow on Monday. This morning we had sleet showers. Our poor confused garden! And the bunny that lives under our porch seems grumpy about it too. Understandably!
Signs of Spring 2023
Beautiful signs of Spring are everywhere on my morning walk around the neighborhood. What a strange contrast to the snow and hail we’ve had …
