Lost & Found

A few weeks ago I was headed out to the shop to start my coursework for Unveil Your Mastery, and I was reviewing what stones I had on hand. I dropped a small faceted aquamarine and I haven’t been able to find it since.

Today I was shifting things in the shop to adjust the drawbench and it turned up – though a little worse for wear.

You can’t really tell in this picture but the girdle is chipped where it appears to have been irregular and narrow – two problems to manage while setting – and it doesn’t look quite symmetrical.

Still, I think it will be good practice for stone setting, which is up next!
