Color on Metal #3 – Part 2

Did you know that jumping from one hobby to the next is a ADHD trait? The more I learn about how ADHD presents in women, the more it resonates. This week that tendency served me well, because I had ALL the fun crafty supplies on hand to bring to class!

I attended my third Color on Metal class this week, and I brought a small mountain of supplies from home. 😂 I enjoyed all the different techniques (which I shared in my previous post).

I used a stencil to apply this clear embossing powder before heating it

I love the vibrant color of the alcohol inks, which can have some of the luminosity of enamel, with less fuss. I was intrigued by the idea of using embossing powder with alcohol ink over the top.

I also tried alcohol ink on an etched piece (second to last shot). Although I didn’t get a very good picture, I do like the effect.

My (suspected) ADHD also manifested in an explosion on my student workbench: 🧨

What do you think? Are these techniques you’d like to try? It doesn’t require a ton of skill – mostly just curiosity and a desire to make beautiful things.
