Enjoying a peaceful summer evening at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara. August 2017.

I love the landscape here.  Hilton Head Island, July 2017.

I have a little spot in my home office, where I put beautiful things to look at while I am on conference calls.  Art from the kids, from friends. It helps me keep focus on what is important when work days are tough.  June 2017.

Toes in the sand – nothing better!  🙂  From Spring Break 2017 in Vero Beach, Florida.

I am so grateful for this peaceful holiday at home with my family.  We are enjoying the new furniture in our cozy library, and relishing in the completion of a big puzzle and multiple Lego sets.  Meanwhile, I am surrounded by my favorite people and wonderful books, and kept warm by my new Totoro socks.  Best wishes for more of the good stuff in the new year, from our home to yours.

Lots of love from our nine year old, who was obviously in the holiday spirit today when he found these on the kitchen counter.  Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones, with all best wishes for 2017!

Another year older, another year wiser. Blessed to have a wonderful community of family and friends!  October 2016.

First birthday present from the boys. They couldn’t wait so I opened it a day early. 🙂 It’s Shaymin, the gratitude Pokemon – my favorite!

It’s finally summer in Chicagoland!  A glorious day at Langdon Beach, on the shores of Lake Michigan. Wilmette IL.

Learning about light at the Museum of Science & Industry, Chicago IL.  November 2015.

Another perfect end of summer night at Langdon Beach (Lake Michigan). Blessed.

A view from our offices – great view for our UX meetings today. The picture doesn’t begin to do it justice.

Trying very hard to add variety to my diet by doing a four-day rotation. It’s amazing how extraordinarily hard that is. We fall into habits so easily. So here is a yummy kale salad with shrimp and fresh grapefruit. A little coconut aminos, lemon, and olive oil for dressing.

Beautiful morning walk today. I love Spring in Chicago – even when it arrives in June. 🙂

Peonies … one of my very favorite flowers! It’s finally Spring in Chicagoland (barely … it was 47 today).

I had a client meeting at Independence Grove in Libertyville IL today. Doesn’t this look like a watercolor? It was a beautiful venue and a productive meeting – it doesn’t get better than that!

I love this time of year!  Though, these pictures remind me just how fleeting it is – these have faded away since I took this a week or two ago …
